Update on
proposed development on Grove Street
Word has just been received from the City of Maitland that the
developer, Atlantic Housing's application to the State for financing on
the affordable apartments they want to build on Grove Street has been rejected.
IT HAS BEEN
TURNED DOWN! This is the application that was in question when we all
attended the council meeting in June.
Atlantic Housing has the option to appeal and the final decision,
after an appeal, would be due September 26, 2008. Hopefully, they will not
appeal this decision. We will publish updates whenever information is
available.
